The tech tips section includes a refined search capability that enables you to find what you're looking for fast and easy. You can search and browse by category, summery, date, and even number of times articles have been viewed. To top it off, you can even submit your own tips, suggestions, and advice with just a few clicks —because the great thing about 02fanatic is that the more you add to the site the more you get out of it.

Free Classifieds:

That's right, FREE. If you need to sell a few extra parts or if you're looking for a specific item to make your 02 all it can be, then this is another great resource. It's simple and fast and available immediately to all registered users.

We've created the categories — you tell us what needs to be there. As a registered user, simply submit the links you think are great, cool, or a must-see and we'll add them in.

02Fanatics Forum:

If you can't find what you're looking for in the Tech Tips section or just want a little one-on-one advice; check out the 02fanatic Forum. It's sectioned into distinct categories so you won't have to search through thousands upon thousand of posts looking for what you want. So, if you have a question, post it to the forum for a response from the experienced minds of other users. By the same token, if know of a great tip, make sure to submit it so everyone can benefit from your experience. As an added benefit, registered users can subscribe to specific forums and categories for e-mail notification—that means no more site jumping and page refreshing to see if your post has been answered. --- NOTE: Insightful tips, suggestions, and advice posted to the Forum will be added to the Tech Tips section for permanent archive and resource for all 2002 owners.

Photo Gallery:

Now, not only will you be able to locate photos of other great 2002s but also, as a member, you will be able to add your own to the images and galleries. We will also be on the lookout to post step-by-step project photos. You know the ones. The ones you WISH were included with those manuals? NOTE: Photo Gallery is ONLY for BMW and 2002 related images. Posting of any other type images is prohibited and will be deleted.

A complete and thorough Search Function. From any section on the site you can enter the keyword(s) and phrases of your choice and it will automatically return the results you need.

News you need to know:

Yep, important news right where you need it—on the home page. Relevant and important stuff about BMW, 2002s, Autocross and Concourse events, new site features, etc. Again, registered users will be able to submit news right to the site with just a few clicks.

Events Calendar:

Now, there's no reason to miss an upcoming car show, club meeting, concourse, autocross, or other social outing. If you know of an important upcoming event, submit it to the Events Calendar to let everyone know about it. You can even create a private calendar just for yourself.

Business Directory:

Here's a feature you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. A handy little tool for adding names, numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. of people and businesses you think are important. As a registered user you can add, edit, and delete your entries. AND, as a really special feature, you can even use it as your own personal address book by simply marking your entries as "Private".

Downloads:

Special items, files, graphics and how-to information only available to Registered users. Current items include: BMW 2002/2002 tii Owners Handbook (PDF version) and five BMW Brochures (PDF version). A preview of these files can be viewed in the Gallery section. And to make it truly interactive, registered users can also upload and submit their own files for inclusion in the Downloads database.

Want to know what the weather has in store for a weekend drive, or maybe even the car show next week? As a registered user you will have the ability to customize the daily weather settings that appear on the site as well as view a full 5-day forecast. It takes a lot of long hours to set up and run a site such as this. And for it to become a true community requires input from many, many sources. Requiring users to register is the only way to control who has access to certain parts of the site without sacrificing security.
